Dear Colleagues

The objective of the 2009 OceaniaCACS conference is to examine the challenges for IT Governance, Security and Assurance in 2010 and beyond and consider what we would do to prepare for them.

For many of us the challenges are already here. The sharp shock to the global economy has brought us back to reality and made us wary of the future. However, history has shown that such things pass and pundits advise that the organisation and individuals that survive and thrive are those that, even in a time of down turn, continue to improve and prepare for the future.

We have therefore prepared a program that looks both at current challenges and emerging trends to assist you in focussing your attention on key issues and approaches to improve your organisation's effectiveness. Our keynote speakers will address existing problems and approaches to address those problems. We have a range of speakers who will discuss practical experiences in implementing solutions. The conference will also provide you with opportunities to network with your colleagues from a range of industries and disciplines and discuss the challenges to the profession posed by the need for improvements in governance, security and assurance.
