Call for Papers

ISACA's OceaniaCACS is a conference for Governance, Security and Assurance professionals and those business and IT managers interested in the effective governance and management of IT.

The 2009 conference will address current and emerging challenges in the area IT governance, security and assurance. The objective is to address issues in depth through a series of presentations, workshops, roundtables and panel discussion on each topic. The aim will not just to inform but to encourage sharing of experiences amongst participants.

Such challenges to be addressed could include:
  • Can IT be governed?
  • Will existing portfolio, program and project management tools effectively cope with business needs for agility?
  • Can security be effective given the complexity of IT?
  • Can we establish effective service management or are the costs and difficulties of implementation too much?
  • Does IT audit have a future as a specialist role?
Topics that could be addressed include:
  • Governance of IT, including methods, approaches and challenges
  • Project, programme and portfolio implementation and governance
  • Security Technology
  • Effective system development including agile practices
  • Electronic records management
  • IT audit futures, tools and techniques
  • Identity Management
